Parent Involvement
All parents are automatically a part of the Parent Support Council (PSC). This group of Richardson parents and guardians is organized to support our students and staff. The PSC is nonprofit, strictly school-based, with no ties to a state or national organization.

PSC Activities
Fundraising Various fund-raising events are conducted throughout the year. Money raised is used for things like field trips, AV equipment, computers, scholarships for enrichment programs, school social events, assemblies, art enrichment, science programs and library books. A fall gift wrap/candy sale, roller skating and school carnival are some of the ways we generate revenue for the school. See the "Fundraiser" section of this handbook for other activities.
Parent Involvement Response Forms are distributed to all parents during the first week of school. Parents are encouraged to fill out the survey to identify how they would like to be involved during the school year. The Parent Involvement Coordinator will notify parents, and form committees and groups needed during the school year, based on the Volunteer Response Form. Please be sure to indicate all your interests on the form. Feel free to call the Parent Involvement Coordinator 748-6934 with questions or comments. There are many ways to be involved with your child(ren) and Richardson school. We encourage your participation and look forward to working with you!
Special Events & Programs Events like the School Carnival and Turn Off TV Week encourage students and parents to be a part of their school. Plus they're lots of fun! In addition to organizing happenings like these, PSC supports school social functions by providing refreshments. They also fund special performances and speakers throughout the year.
